Who I am

This site belongs to Zakaria Amlal. Questions about your data go to hello@zakaria.nl.

What I collect

If you invite me to speak, I receive your name, email address, organisation, the date, the type of session and your message.

If you send a pitch, I receive your name, email address, company name, what you are looking for, the amount or stage, your message and your pitch deck.

If you sign up for new essays, I only receive your email address.

What for

I use your data to answer your request or pitch and to send you new essays if you ask for them. Nothing else. I sell nothing and share nothing with advertisers.

Who else sees it

Messages from the forms reach my Google Workspace mailbox through Resend. Resend also manages the essay list. The site runs on Vercel. These parties process data on my behalf, partly in the United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long

I keep your data no longer than needed to handle your request or stay in touch. You can leave the essay list with one click at the bottom of every email. Your address is then removed from the list.

Cookies

The site remembers your language in a cookie and your cookie choice in your browser. Both are needed for the site to work and do not require consent.

Google Analytics

Only if you click Accept does the site load Google Analytics. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_…) that last up to two years and shows me which pages are read. Advertising features are off.

If you click Decline, Google does not load and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

You can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted. Email hello@zakaria.nl. If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
